Dr. Kai-Ping Chang is a full professor of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. He obtained both his MD and PhD degrees from Chang Gung University in 1986 and 2008 respectively. He finished his residency in 2002 in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and had been the attending physician ever since. He further became a visiting scholar at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, USA, specifically for head and neck surgery and related translational basic research in 2013. He is currently the director of the Division of Head & Neck Surgery of Department of Otolaryngology as well as the deputy director of Department of Medical Research & Development. Dr. Chang’s academic interests are on the surgical oncology and translational research on head and neck cancers, including skull-base tumors, salivary gland tumors, oral cancers and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. He has published more than 180 articles in SCI Journals and serves as the editor and reviewer of several international peer-review journals. He was also invited to write and edit the book, “Resection and Reconstruction of Head and Neck Cancer” (Springer, 2019). Currently, he serves as the acting director of Taiwan Head & Neck Society and the associate editor of the famous international journal, "Head & Neck".
