Stacey Ishman is the Surgical Director of the Upper Airway Center at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and a Full Professor with the Divisions of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery and Pulmonary Medicine. She is the Director of Otolaryngology Outcomes Research at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the Residency Research Director for the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. She earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed her Residency in Otolaryngology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology and underwent advanced sleep training at Johns Hopkins before joining the faculty from 2005 through 2013. She also earned her Master’s in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is Board certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Sleep Medicine. While at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Ishman founded and directed the Center for Snoring and Sleep Surgery. She joined the divisions of Pediatric Otolaryngology and Pulmonary Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 2013 where her clinical practices is focused on the management of children with persistent pediatric sleep apnea and adults with obstructive sleep apnea. Her research is centered on outcomes in adults and children after treatment for OSA. She is serves as past-chair of the Board of Governors and a past member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery as well as the current President of the International Surgical Sleep Society.
