A/PROF YEO SENG BENG Head and Senior Consultant Department of Otorhinolaryngology Tan Tock Seng Hospital Singapore
Dr Yeo Seng Beng graduated from medical school at the National University of Singapore in 1985. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Otolaryngology in 1990, and in 1997 was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore, in the specialty of Otorhinolaryngology (ORL).
He completed a 1 year fellowship programme under Dr Malcolm Graham at the Georgia Ear Institute, USA in 1997, and in December 2003, he underwent an attachment programme in the subspecialty of neuro-otology with Professor Bruce Gantz, University of Iowa, and Professor Robert Jackler, Stanford University, USA.
Dr Yeo has worked in the Department of Otolaryngology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital since 1989, and is a Senior Consultant Neuro-otologist. He is Head of the Department since 2012. He also held visiting specialist appointments at KK Women's and Children Hospital, Changi General Hospital, National University Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
Dr Yeo teaches at undergraduate and graduate levels. He is a clinical lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and associate professor with Lee Kong Chian Medical School.
He was a member of the Ministry of Health’s ENT Specialist Training Committee (2001-2019) and National Program Director of Training for Singapore’s ENT residents, (2004-2012). He was the National Healthcare Group’s (NHG) ORL Program Director for the ACGME-I Otorhinolaryngology Residency Program (2009-2013). Dr Yeo presently is a member of the Ministry of Health’s Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) on ACGME-I ORL matters in Singapore (2015-present), and is chairman of the Chapter of Otolaryngology, College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine Singapore.(2017-2021)
